Rubber tracks are now standard for earthmoving and agricultural vehicles. The first and most important characteristic of the track, in general, is the low pressure discharged to the ground; the large surface area in contact with the ground makes the tracked vehicle more competitive when compared to a vehicle with tyres. Less pressure on the ground means less soil compaction and therefore less soil damage. The rubber track also combines the mobility and comfort advantages of tyres, excluding the disadvantages of excessive rigidity of steel tracks. The rubber tracks used by Mechanical Construction Antolini, are equipped with a steel core that gives the necessary resistance to work in the most difficult working situations. This structure consists of steel cables and a core, also made of steel, which acts as a track guide. The entire metal structure is wrapped in rubber, directly in contact with the ground. Depending on the size of the track, in addition to lower contact pressure, more power is also transferred to the ground, which results in better grip and therefore less slippage and ability to move in extreme conditions. This increased efficiency in power transfer to the ground results in fuel savings and improved vehicle stability.
